Visit Malaysia 2020 brings out the best of what Malaysia has to offer to the world in a single, event-packed year. The year 2020 holds a special place in the heart of all Malaysians as we reflect and celebrate all our successes and challenges in transforming a once colonial land, into a thriving, multi-cultural and dynamic country.
TANGIBLE:
- The tangible things that we can see in the logo is the colour. There are red, yellow, blue, orange and green. Next, obviously we can see there is a combination of hornbill bird, hibiscus and fern. Don't forget the wording "Visit Truly Asia Malaysia 2020"
INTANGIBLE:
Design Elements
- The iconic bird illustrate the unique fauna and eco-adventures that Malaysia has to offer.
- In the national language, Bahasa Malaysia, the hibiscus is known as "bunga raya", loosely translated to flower of celebration. The flowers encapsulates the celebration of cultural diversity in Malaysia.
- The edible plant is a favorite among Malaysians of all races, and to represent the unique flavors of Malaysian cuisine.
Universal Concept
- The new logo, a revamp of last year's controversial campaign image, feature icons synonymous with Malaysia including the hornbill and bunga raya, as well as the colors of the Malaysia flag. These icons represent the country's diverse cultural, heritage, flora and fauna and the experiences Malaysia offers as a not-to-be-missed holiday destination.
